We were lucky enough to get a guided tour the other day and I fell in love with this building. The open fire in the main hall and the library, the gorgeous dining room, the hidden doors, the carved staircase, the Byron bedroom and a few others all transport you back in time. The grounds are amazing too - though not looking their best in the middle of winter it was easy to see how amazing it would look later in the year. Rolling grasslands at the back behind the rose gardens, a lake with a bridge at the front and a large pavilion has been erected at the side to hold bigger events. Seating upto 200 with a dance floor and all facilities included within.
